1. Who we are

In this policy, “FitDad”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to FitDad, a community organisation operating from Emerald, QLD 4720, Australia. FitDad is a trading name used by the people who run the FitDad community.

2. What information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. Specifically:

• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and the contents of any message you send us.
• Membership: if you join a paid tier, your name, email, and billing information. Card numbers are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store full card details.
• In-person attendance: if you come to a Saturday session, we may take photos or video for community media (see our Terms).

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that gives us aggregated page-view counts. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not build individual profiles. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on this website.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Reply to enquiries you send us.
• Send community updates and newsletters you've subscribed to.
• Process membership signups and payments.
• Run the day-to-day operations of the FitDad community.
• Meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don't use your information for purposes you wouldn't reasonably expect.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share limited information only with the service providers we use to run FitDad:

• Resend, to send emails and manage our newsletter audience.
• Stripe, to process membership payments. Stripe receives the billing information necessary to charge your card.
• Our website host, which receives standard server request data (e.g. IP address, browser type) when you visit the site.

These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations and may store data outside Australia (see Section 8).

We may also disclose information if required to by law, or to protect the safety of our community.

5. Cookies and tracking

The FitDad website itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our page-view analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless. If you go through our membership checkout, Stripe may set its own cookies to operate the payment session. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, after which we remove your email from our active list.
• Contact form messages: kept for as long as is useful for the conversation, then archived or deleted on request.
• Billing and payment records: kept for at least seven (7) years to meet Australian tax and record-keeping obligations.

7. Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's inaccurate.
• Delete your information (subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it).
• Unsubscribe from our communications.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers (including Resend and Stripe) are based overseas, primarily in the United States. By using this site or our services, you consent to your personal information being processed by those providers outside Australia. They operate under their own privacy frameworks and contractual safeguards.

9. Children

The FitDad website and community are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold: using HTTPS for our website, reputable service providers for payments and email, and limiting access to the people who need it to run FitDad. No online system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with care.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on the website and, where appropriate, sent to subscribed members by email.
